Father’s Day in the UAE is observed on 21 June every year regardless of which day of the week it falls on. It is not a public holiday, but it is widely observed by the population.
|2020||21 Jun||Sun||Father's Day|
|2021||21 Jun||Mon||Father's Day|
The date of Father’s Day differs from many non-Arabic countries that celebrate it on the third Sunday of June – although the 21 June date does approximate that.
Around Father’s Day there are many public events held in major cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and you can find a host of fun activities for Dad and the whole family to take part in.
Race tracks, water parks, public shopping malls, sailboat tours, fishing excursions, ice rinks, resorts, hotels, restaurants, and more await the adventurous Dad and kid in the bustling metro zones of the UAE!
But of course, there are more homey celebrations as well. Many children will gather at Dad’s house for a festive Father’s Day meal – and maybe do some of the cooking. They will typically give Dad a card, a gift, and a big hug!
